Biography of Akira Toriyama - Dragon Ball Comic Creator - Akira Toriyama was born in Aichi Prefecture, Japan, on 5 April 1955, he is one of the legendary mangaka in Japan and even the world. He spawned many great works, including Dragon Ball, Fox Tale, and Blue Dragon. He also had to create a character for a video game then raised well into the manga and anime, the Dragon Quest. Akira Toriyama debuted in 1979 with his work entitled Wonder Island, published by Shonen Jump weekly. The first time he got fame through the manga and anime series Dr. Slump which originally appeared as a weekly series in Shonen Jump in the year 1980-1984.

In 1982, he received the Shogakukan Manga Award for Dr. Slump as the best in the category of shonen manga and Shojo Manga Series of the Year. In his studio is called "Bird Studio", taken from the name 'Tori' (Bird), Akira sensei did almost all his work; assistants mostly just working on the background image. The studio is currently not very active over the last few years, because it only worked on short works.

In 2009, Akira Toriyama was commissioned by Avex Trax to draw a portrait of pop singer, Ayumi Hamasaki, to be printed on a single CD entitled "Rule / Sparkle '. Akira Toriyama is also collaborating with the Shonen Jump directly to make a video to raise awareness and support for those affected by the earthquake and tsunami in Tohoku on March 11, 2011.
